Equiom employees cycle for Sport Relief

by isleofman.com 29th March 2016

Employees of leading trust and corporate services provider Equiom raised in excess of ?600 for Sport Relief by cycling more than 120 miles on Friday 18 March.

A team of 35 took turns of between 10 and 60 minutes pedalling an exercise bike positioned in the reception of Equiom’s Isle of Man office. The aim was to complete the equivalent distance of the Parish Walk (85 miles) in seven hours and this target was surpassed well ahead of deadline. The cycle challenge was complemented by a bake sale which also helped raise funds.

Aidan Davin, Manging Director of Equiom (Isle of Man) Limited, commented: ‘What a fabulous team effort, pedalling more than 120 miles with much fun and laughter along the way! The team raised ?311 through donations from colleagues and clients and I am delighted that Equiom will add a further ?300 to increase the total to ?611. I’d like to congratulate everyone for all their hard work and extend my thanks to Elite Fitness for lending us the exercise bike.’

Sport Relief is a biennial charity event from Comic Relief which raises money to help vulnerable people in the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
