Camathias Cup Winner Return to Billown to Defend Victory

by isleofman.com 29th March 2016

Sidecar Race Winner Eddy Wright returns to the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races to defend his Camathias Cup title he secured last year, however once again he will be up against 2014 winner, Manxman Wally Saunders, who like the veteran Yorkshireman wants to be first to receive the chequered flag in this prestigious classic sidecar race.

The ‘duelling pair’ won’t have it all their own way with the ‘creme de la creme’ of the Classic Sidecar men lining up on the grid prior to the race action commencing.

It certainly won’t be for the feint-hearted with the likes of Vince Biggs/ Vicky Cooke; Keith Walters/Alison de Angelis; Howard Langham/Tim Dixon; Mike Bellaby/Dave Gristwood; Nick Cutmore/Nancy Thomas; Stuart Applegate/Dave Mahon and Dick Hawes/Sebastian Barr amongst others all wanting to see the chequered flag first.

Stir in the ‘continental flavour’ of Guido & Zita Reichmuth; Richard Pouwels/Kim van Loon; Anja Braas/Diana Bouman; Kobus Bouman/ Nocilia Klinker and Hendrik Jonker/Kim Dussche and an ‘overseas’ victory could be on the cards!

With a week to go before entries close a total of 27 Sidecar crews have entered for the 2016 Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races which take place on Friday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday 27th, 28th & 30th May.
