Fond farewell to Castletown's Convery

Eddie Convery retiring after seven years

A familiar face in the south of the Island is leaving his post after seven years of service.

Thursday, May 31, is the last day on the job for Castletown Commissioners' clerk, Eddie Convery.

The former banker will be replaced by Hugo Mackenzie.

And with local authority elections looming, Mr. Convery offered these words of wisdom to anyone considering standing:
