UK paper's April Fool prank about Irish Sea links

A road bridge linking the Isle of Man to a Celtic Union of Scotland and Wales? Check your calendar, says a UK national newspaper.

The Independent this morning reported Scotland and Wales would split away from the UK in the event of a Brexit – and the Isle of Man would become a transport hub linking the two!

But the story featuring supposedly leaked documents by a Cabinet Office whistle-blower, was in fact an April Fool – and we won’t be getting a bridge or tunnel to the Celtic Union after all.

The newspaper has amended its story to remind people its only a prank!
