Two laps of Island for student constables

The Island's aspiring police officers are travelling without moving today (Sat 2nd), as they take on a charity challenge.

Eight student constables are cycling the length of the Island's coastline twice, on static bikes in the Strand Shopping Centre.

They're pedalling just short of 200 miles in aid of the Give A Gift Charity.

Donations are being warmly received - there's also a raffle on offer.

Sergeant Paul Kemp from the Constabulary's staff development centre said they're a positive bunch of recruits:
