MNFU highlights pressures of the market

A farmers' union leader says the sale of an award-winning Manx flock of sheep is indicative of the pressures facing the market.

One-and-a-half thousand animals from Ellerslie farm in Marown have just gone under the hammer off-Island. 

Owner Willie Christian, along with all other Manx sheep farmers, is facing a battle to turn a worthwhile profit return on his stock. 

David Brew is Acting President of the Manx National Farmers' Union.
