Mark Goodall (39) has joined Strand Group in the newly created post of Client Relations Manager.
‘With an expanding customer base and four different businesses within Strand Group, Mark will have a busy time connecting with all of our customers and ensuring that they get the best possible service,’ said John Hellowell, CEO of Strand Group. ‘We consider this a very important appointment’, he added.
The new role follows on from the Group’s move into a new purpose built HQ at Tromode last year. ‘During 2015 we had an increase in customers who work with more than one of our businesses,’ said Mr Hellowell. ‘Many became aware of the benefits of our Secure Document Management Facilities with Storall, whilst others made cost savings by switching to our commercial refuse collection service, Clean A Way.’
Mark, who attended Ramsey Grammar School, joined the army in 1994 and travelled the world with what is now the Duke of Lancaster’s regiment. His duties included a spell at Windsor Castle as well as time spent in Cyprus, Northern Ireland and Jordan. For the past thirteen years he has worked with Eurocars in Douglas and he has taken up the new position with Strand Group this month.
Mark said, ‘I’m relishing the new challenge and looking forward to meeting all existing customers as quickly as possible. I’m also keen to introduce new business to Strand Group. I hadn’t realised just how much they do,’ he added.
In his spare time Mark focuses on keeping fit. A keen walker, he took up cycling eighteen months ago and it’s turned into a serious hobby. He also enjoys off-roading and was Island champion three years in a row with the Isle of Man 4 x 4 Club. He lives in Kirk Michael with his wife Tilly and daughter Natalie (17) and son Conor (14).
