DEFA launches zoning consultation

Should coastal waters be zoned?

The public will be asked for their views on whether the Island's coastal waters should be zoned.

A consultation has been launched by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) to discuss the issue.

If it gets the go ahead it could mean activities are assigned to specific areas.

Fisheries project officer Dr Peter Duncan threw some light on what the different zones could be:
