Airport arrest: Drugs concealed internally

by isleofman.com 12th April 2016
A 29 year old male, from the west of the Island, is to appear at Douglas Courthouse today (Tuesday 12th April) charged with drug-related offences.

The man was arrested on Saturday at Ronaldsway Airport on suspicion of importing drugs, with a view to subsequent supply, and was later found to have concealed three ounces of cocaine internally.

The drugs would have had a street value of approximately ?6,000.

DS Vinny Lund said: “The dangers of holding any amount of drugs internally cannot be over emphasised and we appeal to anyone thinking of doing this to think again, its simply not worth it. We would still like to hear from anyone who has information about any criminal activity.”
