Average wait now 3 hours 6 mins

Average waiting times at the Noble’s Hospital accident and emergency department have increased by half an hour over the past two years.

Health Minister Howard Quayle revealed the figure in the House of Keys today (Tuesday).

An increase in the number of patients was cited as a major factor, putting more pressure on staff.

Mr Quayle said the average time from arrival to departure at Noble’s had risen from two hours 36 minutes to three hours six minutes – still well under the UK target of four hours.
