Vandals target Chester Street Car Park

The Police are asking the public for assistance following an instance of arson which occured at Chester Street Car Park.

Sometime between 8am on Thursday 7th April and 7.20am on Friday 8th April 2016 the cover on a white plastic junction box, which is located on the ceiling of Level 6 of the car park, was broken into and a cigarette lighter was then inserted and set on fire.

Constable Gronkowski said: “Fortunately the fire didn’t spread any further and did not cause any serious damage to property but it could have been very serious and potentially endangered the whole building and people therein.”
