Fresh look at cramped multistorey

Drivers using a car park in central Douglas could have more room to manoevre in future.

Larger spaces for vehicles could be allocated in the Chester Street facility, after motorists complained it offered a very tight squeeze.

The issue was raised at a Tynwald committee sitting yesterday (15 April) which heard from Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne and his Chief Executive Nick Black.

The Environment and Infrastruture Policy Review Committee heard evidence on a wide range of issues under the remit of the DoI.

Mr Gawne said he was aware that getting in and out of vehicles has proved a problem for many motorists:
