The Extra Factor: Citywing to provide more flights for TT

by isleofman.com 18th April 2016
Citywing is gearing up for TT 2016 and providing extra flights between the Isle of Man and Blackpool, Belfast, Glasgow and, new for this year, Cardiff.

With 22 extra flights added to its timetable during this year’s TT festival Citywing is offering even more opportunities for air travel between the Island and ‘Britain’s favourite resort’, the capital cities of Northern Ireland and Wales and Scotland’s ‘second city’.

Citywing’s managing director David Buck said: ‘As an Isle of Man-based company we’re pleased to be playing our part in helping to boost the island’s visitor economy by putting together a compelling schedule aimed at the legions of fans wanting to come to the Island for the world’s greatest road racing event. This year we’re especially pleased to be offering the only direct air link between the thriving city of Cardiff and the island with one-way fares starting at just ?49.95.

‘These extra flights are also perfect for Island residents looking for a conveniently timed low-cost break in four very different but equally appealing destinations, each one offering a wealth of attractions for all the family.’

Cardiff Airport’s managing director Debra Barber added: ‘The TT races are always a big event on the calendar so it’s great to see Citywing responding to demand from Welsh customers.

‘Not only are these special flights handy for TT fans, they also offer visitors from the Isle of Man opportunities to explore everything Wales has to offer.’
