Travelwatch to discuss Steam Packet offer at meeting

The chairman of TravelWatch Isle of Man says any new Strategic Sea Services Agreement would need to have a provision for replacing the existing vessels.

The Steam Packet has announced it's made an offer to government for a new agreement which would help address visitor capacity.

However, no details are being made public until a presentation has been made to MHKs, which is due to take place within the next month.

Brendan O'Friel says it's likely the issue will come up for discussion at their public meeting in the Manx Legion Hall at 7.30pm next Thursday:
