Public meeting to discuss Knockaloe's future

Tenant could be in place soon, says minister

A public meeting in the West of the Island next month will discuss the future of Knockaloe Farm.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is hosting the meeting at Patrick Church Hall on Wednesday, May 11 starting at 7.30pm.

DEFA says it hopes the former farm – and internment camp – can find an alternative use to create an attraction that’ll mix economic development and heritage.

Minister Richard Ronan says he hopes his department will soon be able to market Knockaloe to a tenant to develop the site.
