Airport radar problems continue

Communication issues to blame, says minister

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says language problems have delayed the replacement radar system at Ronaldsway Airport becoming fully operational.

He was quizzed on the matter by Onchan MHK Peter Karran in the House of Keys.

Mr Gawne said there had been a breakdown in communication between the company tasked with installing the system and the Civil Aviation Authority, which has been going on for quite some time:
