Vital issue people should hear says MHK

A debate into the government’s financial strategy to deal with the Island’s public sector pensions issue could be broadcast live next week.

Normally, the House of Keys only allows its question time to be aired live but on Tuesday, South Douglas MHK Chris Thomas will ask his fellow members to change the rules.

He says the medium-term financial strategy relating to public sector pensions is a vital issue people deserve to hear.

The debate would have been broadcast as part of Tynwald’s proceedings but was postponed at the last minute
