New hotel good for tourism

Mannin reopens on Broadway

The newest hotel in the Island’s capital is a step in the right direction – but more needs to be done to encourage tourism.

That was the admission from Chief Minister Allan Bell at the official opening of the Mannin Hotel on Broadway in Douglas this week.

The hotel’s been four years in the making – and is already fully-booked for this year’s TT.

Mr Bell said it’s encouraging to see investment in the industry, but said the Island can’t rest on its laurels:
