Campaign to make Sophie's dream come true

Teen would love to hear from favourite star

A teenage girl in the Island’s hospice is hoping her dream comes true – with a message from her idol.

13 year old Sophie Birtles has a rare degenerative genetic disorder Juvenile Sandhoff disease, and is staying at Rebecca House Children's Hospice in Braddan.

Her final wish is to hear from pop superstar Katy Perry – and an online campaign by wellwishers and supporters has taken to social media to bring Sophie to the singer’s attention.
