House of Keys and LegCo voting results not published last year

You’ll be able to find out how your Member of the House of Keys votes this summer – but not in the House of Keys.

West Douglas MHK Christ Thomas asked a question for written answer in the house this week.

He wanted to know when and how the votes in Keys, Legislative Council and Tynwald will be published online.

However, there was disappointment from Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan, who said a vote last year only asked for Tynwald’s voting.

In his answer, Mr Rodan pointed out the motion to publish the voting results in Tynwald last December didn’t include either the House of Keys or Legislative Council.

But he said the Tynwald website will be updated by the end of June so people will be able to find out exactly how each representative voted in each debate.

Mr Rodan added a basic search for the Members name and the sitting date will be available.

You’ll be able to find the new facility on tynwald.org.im
