Back to Sartfield for Beach Buddies

by isleofman.com 5th May 2016
This coming weekend Beach Buddies will definitely be going to Sartfield in Jurby to remove the large amount of rubbish which has collected this last few months.

We postponed last week because of poor weather, which proved to be the correct decision. However, some hardy volunteers - Mark, Isobel and Maria - still turned out and spurned the gales and rain to collect a number of bags and numerous items. Well done!

We meet at Sartfield at 10.30am on Sunday morning, when we will - as usual - provide all the necessary equipment. New volunteers have been a feature of recent events, and more are always warmly welcomed.

It's friendly, informal, relaxed and good fun and you meet some very nice people of all ages. Families are particularly welcome - but we ask that there should be no dogs on the beach unless on a lead, as it's the middle of the bird nesting season.

For this event, with the weather forecast being very good (for a change), Beach Buddies will be providing some refreshments afterwards at a "secret location" in Andreas!

Intrigued? You will need to come on Sunday to find out !!
