North Douglas member accused of being a bully

A former Island politician has defended North Douglas member John Houghton following accusations he's a bully.

Mr Houghton has come under fire after a parliamentary committee inquiry found he acted in an aggressive and threatening manner in a staff dispute in the Clerk of Tynwald's Office.

He's hit out at the committee - claiming it operated neither properly nor fairly.

Dominic Delaney - who has previously served as an MHK and as a member of the Legislative Council - says Mr Houghton may have a point.
