Tributes paid to 'genius' Michael Czysz

Tributes have been paid to motorcycle designer, racer and engineer Michael Czysz. 

Founder and CEO of MotoCzysz, he won worldwide respect for his development of clean emissions motorbikes, and formed one of the first teams to race electric machines on the Isle of Man mountain course.

The eyes of a global industry were on his team's efforts in the world's first zero emissions grand prix in 2009 - the TT Zero.

Michael Rutter on board a MotoCysz bike took the honours in the 2010 race, in a fierce battle with Japan's Team Mugen.

Michael Czysz lost a battle to cancer - among those paying tribute this morning, motorsport business development boss Paul Philips:
