'Uniquely Manx' photos turn heads

Killip exhibition opens to acclaim

A new exhibition of the work of renowned Manx photographer Chris Killip has been enthusiastically received by critics and the public.

A display of 50 images of people and places opened at the Manx Museum this weekend alongside the launch of a retrospective book - both entitled The Isle of Man Revisited.

Admirers of Killip's work say his black and white, often gritty images of rural life, are uniquely Manx - and guests at Friday's preview were both surprised and impressed with the collection:
