Poppies needed for Billy's funeral

by isleofman.com 13th May 2016

Urgent appeal by family

The family of roadracer Billy Redmayne have appealed for poppies from people’s gardens for his funeral later today.

The 25-year-old soldier from Laxey is due to go on a final lap of the TT course at midday escorted by wellwishers before receiving a military funeral.

But a last-minute problem means poppies that had been ready for the funeral now can’t be used and the family are keen to replace them.

If you have any poppies you can spare, you can drop them at Eric Faragher funeral directors on Main Road in Onchan before 11am
