Art & Design Technology Exhibition at Castle Rushen High School

by isleofman.com 18th May 2016

The Headteacher, School Governors, Staff and Students of Castle Rushen High School  have much pleasure in inviting you to our Art and Design Technology Exhibition, which promises to be a creative showcase of the GCSE and A’ Level cohorts final examination pieces in Fine Art, Textiles, Engineering, Product Design and Resistant Materials.

The event takes place on Thursday, 26th May from 7pm-9pm in the Art and Design Technology Departments.  There is no entry fee and access to the event is via the school’s main foyer doors.

The Subject Team Leader for Design Technology, Mr Richard Maltby, says, ‘The students have all worked exceptionally hard to create the work on display.  All the pieces are to be moderated by the awarding bodies for each examination course, but, for now, members of the public are invited to join us in viewing the examination pieces in all their glory to celebrate the work of our creative young people.'

All are very welcome to attend this open event.  Students will be on hand to answer any questions about their work and their own individual design journeys.  Teachers will also be available to talk about the course specifications for any students who might be considering design as a possible career pathway.
