The Family Library has teamed up with Autism in Mann.The autism charity has donated a shelving trolley to the library and its own collection of books so that anyone interested can borrow them via the library, creating greater access to the collection
Sue Corlett, chairman of Autism in Mann, said:
‘We are very grateful to all the parents who donated books to the library. ‘We are delighted the books will now be housed in the Family Library and we have ordered some new titles, which will be arriving shortly. The Family Library is a wonderful facility and we hope our members will join in many of the fun activities.’Librarian in charge Mary Cousins said:
‘This is a lovely joint venture and we are more than happy to team up with Autism in Mann to make these books more widely available.’Autism in Mann provides support for families and carers affected by autism.

The Family Library is next to the children’s playground in Westmoreland Road, Douglas. It operates as a charity and also runs the Mobile Library and a Schools Service.
