Pupils 'distraught' at damage

Young pupils with special needs were left 'distraught' this morning when they found facilities at their school had been vandalised.

Yesterday evening (Wed) a group of youths caused damage at the 'Rainbow Room' playground at Ballacottier Primary School in Douglas.

They trashed play equipment, removed roof tiles and painted offensive symbols on walls and windows.

Headteacher Carol Walsh says it was an upsetting incident - but it's being dealt with:
