Friends of Douglas Bay Horse Tramway says statutes protect the service

The infrastructure minister doesn't feel his department's plans for Douglas promenade and the horse trams go against existing policy.

Phil Gawne has been responding to claims by the Friends of Douglas Bay Horse Tramway.

The group says it has uncovered a range of statutes and guidance which appear to grant the carriageway a level of protection.

Mr Gawne has issued this response.
