Chamber doesn't reflect IoM demographics

A former MHK has expressed disappointment that no women were nominated for the recent Legislative Council elections.

Hazel Hannan - who served as a member for Peel between 1986 and 2006 - says the upper chamber doesn't reflect the Island's demographics.

Ms Hannan is worried LegCo comes across as an exclusive club for midde-aged men.

Speaking on Sunday Opinion, she said the recent elections signalled a missed opportunity for Manx politics:
