Celtic League concerned over petrol price rise

Asks whether hike targets TT visitors

The Celtic League has written to the Island’s Office of Fair Trading asking it to look into a rise in petrol prices.

Bernard Moffatt, director of information at the League, says he’s been contacted over a 2p a litre rise on forecourts right at the start of the TT Festival.

He’s now written to the OFT’s chairman David Quirk asking him to look into the issue.

Mr Moffatt says he’s worried the rise is targeting the annual influx of visitors:
