Driver defied Mountain Road's one-way system

Will appear in court after being stopped by police

There’s a renewed warning from police about the Mountain Road – after a driver was stopped going the wrong way today.

The route is one-way for the entire TT festival from Barrule Park in Ramsey to the Creg ny Baa.

Roads Policing Unit officers say they stopped the vehicle and its driver will be appearing in court.

But they add they cannot emphasise enough how dangerous it is, and the road markings, signs, and cones should make the system clear enough for everybody.
