Island driver 'risked lives' defying one-way Mountain

Local motorist stopped by police

Police are warning motorists defying the Mountain Road’s one-way system they're putting putting lives at risk.

It’s after officers had to close the route yesterday to stop a local driver driving the wrong way.

The Mountain Road is one-way for the entire festival, from Ramsey to the Creg ny Baa.

Sergeant Will Moffatt from the Roads Policing Unit says the driver involved will be making a court appearance:
