TT staple opens doors later

A traditional part of the TT festival returns today - as Bushys Beer Tent throws open its gates to the public once again.

The Douglas Promenade staple has had a makeover for this year's TT, with an all-new, expanded marquee on the site of the Bottleneck car park.

Despite a lack of entertainment on the Promenade itself, there's a packed schedule of live music at the tent, kicking off from this evening.

Owners are expecting to sell up to 15,000 pints per day over the fortnight.

Martin Brunnschweiler from Bushy's Brewery says the tent remains a firm favourite with revellers:
