Appeal for witnesses to collision on Mountain Road

At about 4.40pm on Sunday 29th May 2016 a two motor cycle serious injury road traffic collision occurred on the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road in the area of the 26th Milestone (Joey’s).

Involved in the collision were a black coloured Honda CBR900 motor cycle which was being ridden towards Douglas by a male from Suffolk. The other motor cycle was a black coloured Honda CBR600 motor cycle which was being ridden by a male from Gosport. The rider of the first motor cycle received serious injuries and was conveyed to Nobles Hospital where he was subsequently transferred to a hospital in the UK.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
