Mountain Rd closures legitimate - police

Safety paramount, urges Inspector Flint

The police have been explaining why there are so many closures of the Mountain Road during the TT.

Shutting the section of the course when there has been a crash often leads to much comment onlne, with some wondering if it's done to prevent people going up there, in addition to dealing with the crashes.

Inspector Derek Flint says that simply is not the case:
