Engineering and Manufacturing Sector website launch

by isleofman.com 2nd June 2016
As part of the ACE (Awareness of Careers in Engineering) programme, the engineering and manufacturing sector has launched its own website www.engineeringiom.com.

The aim of the website is to provide a hub of information regarding updates, opportunities and careers in the Sector. The information includes guidance on work experience, which subjects to take at IGCSE and information on the Apprenticeship Scheme (applications for Years 1 and 2 Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering course are being taken now – contact Adrian Harrison as below).

The site also links in with www.employed.im making it easy for interested parties to gather all the information required for a career in the engineering and manufacturing and apply for a job.

Adrian Harrison, the Engineering and Manufacturing Sector Skills Champion, commented:

“The site has been developed by the Sector and the team at PDMS over the last six months to include many of the aspects important to students and school leavers looking to enter the sector. It’s all there to provide information so people of all ages, interests, backgrounds and skills can make informed decisions about their career in the engineering and manufacturing sector.”

If anyone has any feedback on the site or questions about the sector then please contact Adrian Harrison (Engineering and Manufacturing Sector Skills Champion) on M; 498769, or E: cloud-nine@manx.net.
