Island resident killed in crash

Appeal for witnesses from police

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash in Douglas claimed the life of a local resident.

The incident happened at 3.15pm on Sunday on Peel Road between the Quarterbridge and Jubilee Oak – the road had to be closed for several hours.

Officers say the two vehicles involved were a white Peugeot van and a red Suzuki Jimny, both driven by Island residents.
