Police name biker who died in St Johns

67 year old from Hull lost his life on Friday

Police have named a visiting biker who died in a crash at the weekend.

67 year old Frank Robinson of Hull died after an incident shortly before 5pm on Friday on the Peel to Douglas Road between Tynwald Hill and Ballaleece Bridge in St Johns.

In a statement, his family says he was a dearly loved and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Mr Robinson had been involved in the motorcycle industry for more than 35 years – and had been coming to the TT for more than 50 years.

His family thanked members of the public who stopped to help and provide first aid as well as the medical staff and emergency services who attended the scene.
