Knocked visitor off bike but drove away

Police are investigating after a local driver knocked a visiting biker off his motorcycle – but drove off afterwards.

The incident happened at 8.20am today (Monday) when the black bike turned out of Captains Hill in Laxey towards Douglas and was hit by a white or silver Vauxhall Astra which came out of Mines Road.

The driver stopped further down the road but drove off when the biker got up – he suffered minor injuries, and the collision caused considerable damage to his bike.

If you were the driver, or you saw what happened, you can contact police on 631212.
