Ramsey man accused of rape to stand trial in January

Thirty-one-year-old denies charges of rape and ABH

A Ramsey man who denies charges of rape and inflicting actual bodily harm will stand trial next year.

Thirty-one-year-old Philip Neill Baillie, of Albert Street, appeared before Deemster Alastair Montgomerie at a pre-trial review at Douglas courthouse this afternoon.

A trial date has been set for Tuesday, January 24, 2017, with seven days set aside for it.

It will be before Deemster Montgomerie.

Mr Baillie remains in custody.
