Police say likely to be shut for some time

Police say they’ve had to close a road in the north of the Island this morning after a crash – and it’s likely to remain closed for some time.

Officers say emergency services are currently dealing with the incident, which happened on the Lewaigue Road in Maughold at around 5.30am.

The road is currently shut between the Dreemskerry Road and the Port e Vullen Road while investigations are being carried out.

Diversions are in place and police are redirecting traffic.
