Tynwald president reflects on OBE

Clare Christian among birthday honours

The President of Tynwald has spoken of her pride after being honoured by the Queen on her birthday.

The Island's parliamentary figurehead and presiding officer Clare Christian has been made an OBE, after a long career in politics and many more years serving the community.

Chief Minister Allan Bell is to become a CBE while Ramsey woman Rosemary Mazzone receives a British Empire Medal.

Mrs Christian, who's also retiring from politics in July, reflected on the accolade.
