Coroner to open three cases

Coroner of inquests John Needham will open three cases at Douglas Courthouse today – including two into the deaths of TT competitiors.

Dwight Stewart Beare of Onchan, originally from Australia, died following a crash in the Sure Sidecar Race 1 last Saturday.

The hearing into his death is due to open at 2pm.

At 2.15pm, Mr Needham will open the inquest into the death of 50-year-old Paul Shoesmith from Stockport, who died during practices.

And at 2.30pm, a hearing into the death of Phyllis Margaret Hine, who was 84 and from Liverpool, will open.
