Findings not a surprise says DEC officer

The Department of Education and Children says anybody concerned their children may be accessing internet pornography can seek support on the Island.

Yesterday, a report from the NSPCC claimed more than half 11 to 16 year olds had seen explicit images online.

Children’s Services Officer Gary McManus says it’s important for parents to oversee internet access, but also to be able to talk to their children about any issues.

He says teachers can help in that process – and the NSPCC’s findings aren’t necessarily much of a surprise:
