Manx Radio 'went mayoral' when 'Women Today' was broadcast live from the town hall with guests the Mayor and Mayoress of Douglas Councillor John Skinner and his wife Gill, together with deputy mayor Councillor Ann Corlett and deputy mayoress Wendy Caulfield.
Presenters were Beth Espey and Christy DeHaven who led interviews about the mayoral role, the local good causes to benefit from the mayoral charity appeal - Manx Decaf, Naseem's Brain Tumour Charity and Anthony Nolan Isle of Man - and the mayor and mayoress’s plans for their year in office. (There was also a side order of discussions about children's behaviour in restaurants).
