Merseyside man brought ?250,000 of drugs to Island

Defendant admits charges

A Merseyside man has admitted attempting to bring £250,000-worth of drugs into the Island.

Fifty-year-old Alex Conner on Monday pleaded guilty to production of cannabis and possession of it with intent to supply.

Conner, from Huyton, was arrested on Friday evening at the Sea Terminal as he came off the boat.

He’s been remanded in custody and will next appear in court on July 8.
