by isleofman.com 13th July 2016

Isle of Man Archer Lesley Sleight travelled to Bury St. Edmunds to compete in the International Field Archery Association (IFAA) UK and Ireland Field Archery Championships (UKIFAC).

Despite breaking two UK and Ireland records in both the Field and Hunter rounds Lesley had to settle for the silver medal. Lesley had the second highest score of the day for both men and women longbow class adding 29 points to her personal best score.

Lesley is now set to represent England in the IFAA World Field Championships in Wagga Wagga, Australia in September. Lesley won a Bronze medal for England in the IFAA European Field Championships last year in Sweden and is aiming for more honours down under.
