Keen golfers are being asked to show their support for the Commonwealth Games Association by entering a team of four in its Charity Golf Day, being sponsored by Standard Bank.

The fundraiser, being held on Friday 22nd July at Ramsey Golf Club, will get underway at 12pm with food and refreshments in the clubhouse. It will be a shotgun start at 1pm and after all teams have completed 18 holes there will be a meal and prize presentation in the clubhouse. The maximum handicaps are 24 for men and 30 for women and entry costs ?400 per team.

Association Vice President Basil Bielich said: ‘We’re very grateful to Standard Bank for sponsoring our golf fundraiser, which should be a fantastic event. We’re hoping that keen golfers will be able to pull together a team for a great day of sport, which will help us raise the money we need to be able to send Team Isle of Man to the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.’
