Peel Clothworkers-based pre-school relocates to Busy Bears Nursery

by isleofman.com 25th July 2016
The Department of Education and Children has confirmed that the pre-school service which has been located at Peel Clothworkers School will continue to be provided by Busy Bears Nursery at their premises in Ballawattleworth in Peel.

The management of Busy Bears has recently invested heavily in a dedicated facility, creating a fully inspected and approved site to provide the best level of care and education needed for this important service. It has a refurbished outside area, and the number of places available was increased from 16 to 20.

The decision to relocate the service was made for a number of reasons: the increase in the population of Peel, the effect this has had on the numbers of pupils being enrolled at Peel Clothworkers School, the need for the space leased to Busy Bears to be re-allocated back to school use as well as the high cost of making the mobile classroom on the grounds of the Clothworkers School fit for use for the preschool service.

The Department and Busy Bears management agreed that the best scenario was for the pre-school service to be moved to the Ballawattleworth site to facilitate the school’s expansion.
